Booking Policies

- We operate a cancellation policy for all bookings and request at least 24 hours notice for any cancellation of 1-5 people, or 72 hours notice for parties of 6 or more. A fee will be charged for any cancellations with less than 24/72 hours notice, at a fee £20 per person. This will be charged to the card details given at the time of booking, and only in the event of a no show or cancellation within the applied time period. No other charges will be made to the card.
- Bookings can be made online for our indoor tables and counter. Our terrace is open (weather permitting) for bookings during the warmer months of the year for lunch and dinner, and from November to February for lunch only.
- Our booking options are as follows:
Indoor Table: An indoor table with bench and chair seating.
Indoor Counter: Standard hight chairs at our indoor counter, seated side by side, with a harbour view.
Covered Terrace: A covered table on our harbourside terrace. These tables are covered from above, with open sides. As these tables are unheated, please be sure to wrap up warm, particularly in the evenings. In the event of wind or rain, we will be in touch with you on the day to update you of the conditions.
Terrace: An uncovered table on our harbourside terrace. These tables are uncovered, unheated and are fully open to the elements. Please be sure to check weather conditions in advance of your meal and to wrap up warmly, particularly in the evenings. In poor conditions, we will be in touch with you on the day.
- Booking options are subject to availability. If any of these options are not shown, this is because that area is fully booked or unavailable at the time of year.
- We accept online bookings for up to 5 people. For groups of 6 - 8 we offer a feast menu to be shared by the whole table. Please get in touch with us at hello@argoenewlyn.co.uk to enquire. Due to the small size of our restaurant, we do not accept bookings for groups of more than 8 during busier periods. From November until Easter, the restaurant is available for private hire for parties of 8 to 18. Menus start at £55 per person. Please email to enquire.
- Bookings for 2-4 guests are allocated 2h on the table/counter from the reserved time. Bookings for 5-6 guests are allocated 2h30m from the reserved time. Bookings of 7-8 guests are allocated 3h from the reserved time.
- We politely ask that you arrive promptly for your booking and order within 15 minutes of your reservation time.
- Please note, we are a small restaurant and in the winter months we sadly do not have a separate inside bar for drinks before your meal or for waiting if arriving early. On warmer days your more than welcome to have a drink on the terrace while you wait for your table.
- Tables will only be held for 15 minutes from the time of reservation if none of your party have arrived, so please do inform us if you are running late. Although we will always try to accommodate your delay, the end of your allocated slot will remain the same and you may have less time to finish your meal.
- If you need to cancel your table, you can do so via your confirmation email from OpenTable, through your account on the OpenTable app, or directly with us via email at hello@argoenewlyn.co.uk. Importantly, if you have not received a cancellation confirmation email from OpenTable or directly from ourselves, your booking has not been cancelled and we will expect you at the time of your booking.
- All booking made through OpenTable will send you a confirmation email and text message. Should you not receive these, there is a chance your booking is not complete. Please check before arrival.
- We accept payments via Card and Cash. Please note that we do not accept AMEX.
- Sadly, due to our small size, we do not allow dogs inside the restaurant but you are more than welcome to bring them if making a reservation while dinning on our outside terrace (weather permitting).
- Also due to limited space, we cannot always accommodate prams next to tables. Highchairs can be requested upon booking and we may be able to accommodate prams that can be neatly folded and tucked away, though please do let us know beforehand.
- For parking, we are located next to the Newlyn Harbour car park. Please note, the car park requires payment and works via license plate recognition. Please ensure you have paid for a ticket once parked, otherwise you will unfortunately receive a fine.
