Booking Policies

Please take a moment to read the below policies prior to booking your table, as there are a few things to note.

- Our current opening hours are as below,

Sunday & Monday: Closed

Tuesday – Thursday: 5.30pm – 10pm

Friday & Saturday: 12pm – 4pm / 5.30pm – 10.30pm

*Please note, our last seatings are at 2pm for lunch and 8pm for dinner (8.30pm on Friday & Saturday), after which the kitchen closes.

- We operate a cancellation policy for all bookings and request at least 24 hours notice for any cancellation of 1-5 people, or 72 hours notice for parties of 6-8 people. A fee will be charged for any cancellations with less than 24/72 hours notice, at a fee of £10 per person for groups of up to 5 people, or £20 per person for groups of 6/7 people. The fee will be charged to the card details given at the time of booking and only in the event of a no show or cancellation within the applied time period. No other charges will be made to the card.

- We take bookings for our indoor tables and counter, as well as for tables on our harbourside terrace (season/weather permitting). The terrace is open for bookings during the warmer months of the year. We don't take bookings on the terrace during the colder months, but on warm/clear days we will have a couple of tables available on a walk in basis.

- Our booking options are as follows:

Indoor Table: An indoor table with bench and chair seating.

Indoor Counter: Chairs at our indoor counter, seated side by side, with a harbour view.

Window Table: A table for two overlooking the terrace and harbour. This table is located next to the entrance door so there is at times a slight draft.

Covered Terrace: A covered table on our harbourside terrace. These tables are covered from above, with open sides looking over the harbour. As these tables are unheated, please be sure to wrap up warmly, particularly in the evenings. In the event of extreme wind or rain, we may not be able to seat the terrace and will need to cancel your booking. In poor conditions, we will be in touch with you on the day.

Terrace: An uncovered table on our harbourside terrace. These tables are uncovered, unheated and are fully open to the elements (wind, rain, blazing sun, etc). Please be sure to check weather conditions in advance of your meal and to wrap up warmly, particularly in the evenings. In the event of very extreme wind or rain, we may decide to close the terrace and cancel your booking. In poor conditions, we will be in touch with you on the day.

- Booking options are subject to availability. If any of these options are not shown, this is because that area is fully booked or unavailable at the time of year.

- We accept online bookings for up to 7 people. For groups of 8 or more we offer a set menu for the party and may operate as a private hire, depending on the group size. For bookings of 8 people or more, please get in touch with us at hello@argoenewlyn.co.uk.

- Bookings for 2-3 guests are allocated 1h45m on the table/counter from the reserved time. Bookings for 4-5 guests are allocated 2 hours from the reserved time. Bookings of 6-8 guests are allocated 2h30m from the reserved time.

- We politely ask that you arrive promptly for your booking and order within 15 minutes of your reservation time.

- Please note, we are a small restaurant and in the winter months we sadly do not have adequate space to allow for just drinks or, in most cases, early arrivals.

- Tables will only be held for 15 minutes from the time of reservation if none of your party have arrived, so please do inform us if you are running late. Although we will always try to accommodate your delay, we cannot guarantee we will need your table back any later than your allotted reservation time.

- If you need to cancel your table, you can do so via your confirmation email from Resy, through your account on the Resy app, or directly with us via email at hello@argoenewlyn.co.uk. Importantly, if you have not received a cancellation confirmation email from Resy or directly from ourselves, your booking has not been cancelled and we will expect you to arrive for your booking. In such event, you would be subject to the cancellation fee as per our cancellation policy.

- We accept payments via Card only. Please note that we do not accept AMEX.

- Sadly, due to our small size, we do not permit dogs inside the restaurant but they are more than welcome on our outside terrace when it’s open (weather permitting).

- Also due to limited space, we cannot accommodate prams next to tables. We may be able to accommodate prams that can be neatly folded and tucked away, though please do let us know beforehand.

- For parking, we are located next to the Newlyn Harbour car park. Please note, the car park requires payment and works via license plate recognition. Please ensure you register your vehicle, otherwise you will unfortunately receive a fine.
